Added in Apple iOS 14.5

Frequently asked questions

What changed in Apple iOS 14.5?

Compared with iOS 14.2, Apple iOS 14.5 added 669 new emoji and redrew 85 existing designs.

How is a redesign told apart from a re-release?

By the artwork itself. Every image is stored with a checksum of its bytes, so a design counts as redrawn only when those bytes differ from iOS 14.2. A version number cannot tell you this — most releases ship the same drawings unchanged.
