Frequently asked questions
- What changed in WhatsApp 2.24.8.85?
- Compared with 2.24.2.76, WhatsApp 2.24.8.85 added no new emoji and redrew 32 existing designs.
- How is a redesign told apart from a re-release?
- By the artwork itself. Every image is stored with a checksum of its bytes, so a design counts as redrawn only when those bytes differ from 2.24.2.76. A version number cannot tell you this — most releases ship the same drawings unchanged.
