Frequently asked questions
- What changed in WhatsApp 2.23.2.72?
- Compared with 2.22.8.79, WhatsApp 2.23.2.72 added 31 new emoji and redrew 9 existing designs.
- How is a redesign told apart from a re-release?
- By the artwork itself. Every image is stored with a checksum of its bytes, so a design counts as redrawn only when those bytes differ from 2.22.8.79. A version number cannot tell you this — most releases ship the same drawings unchanged.
