Frequently asked questions
- What changed in Noto Emoji 15.0?
- Compared with 14.0, Noto Emoji 15.0 added 21 new emoji and redrew 1,739 existing designs.
- How is a redesign told apart from a re-release?
- By the artwork itself. Every image is stored with a checksum of its bytes, so a design counts as redrawn only when those bytes differ from 14.0. A version number cannot tell you this — most releases ship the same drawings unchanged.
