Frequently asked questions
- What changed in Noto Animated Emoji 17.0?
- Compared with 16.0, Noto Animated Emoji 17.0 added 182 new emoji and redrew 17 existing designs.
- How is a redesign told apart from a re-release?
- By the artwork itself. Every image is stored with a checksum of its bytes, so a design counts as redrawn only when those bytes differ from 16.0. A version number cannot tell you this — most releases ship the same drawings unchanged.
