What changed in emojidex 1.0.34?

Compared with 1.0.33, emojidex 1.0.34 added 25 new emoji and redrew 6 existing designs.

How is a redesign told apart from a re-release?

By the artwork itself. Every image is stored with a checksum of its bytes, so a design counts as redrawn only when those bytes differ from 1.0.33. A version number cannot tell you this — most releases ship the same drawings unchanged.
