Frequently asked questions
- What changed in Skype 1.2?
- Compared with 1.0, Skype 1.2 added 1588 new emoji and redrew 62 existing designs.
- How is a redesign told apart from a re-release?
- By the artwork itself. Every image is stored with a checksum of its bytes, so a design counts as redrawn only when those bytes differ from 1.0. A version number cannot tell you this — most releases ship the same drawings unchanged.
