Frequently asked questions
- What changed in au by KDDI Type B 3?
- Compared with Type B 2, au by KDDI Type B 3 added no new emoji and redrew 188 existing designs.
- How is a redesign told apart from a re-release?
- By the artwork itself. Every image is stored with a checksum of its bytes, so a design counts as redrawn only when those bytes differ from Type B 2. A version number cannot tell you this — most releases ship the same drawings unchanged.
