Frequently asked questions
- What changed in Google Android 6.0.1?
- Compared with Android 5.0, Google Android 6.0.1 added 204 new emoji and redrew 1 016 existing designs.
- How is a redesign told apart from a re-release?
- By the artwork itself. Every image is stored with a checksum of its bytes, so a design counts as redrawn only when those bytes differ from Android 5.0. A version number cannot tell you this — most releases ship the same drawings unchanged.
