What changed in JoyPixels 5.0?: Compared with 4.5, JoyPixels 5.0 added 230 new emoji and redrew 2827 existing designs.
How is a redesign told apart from a re-release?: By the artwork itself. Every image is stored with a checksum of its bytes, so a design counts as redrawn only when those bytes differ from 4.5. A version number cannot tell you this — most releases ship the same drawings unchanged.
