Frequently asked questions

What changed in Facebook 14.0?: Compared with 13.1, Facebook 14.0 added 137 new emoji and redrew 19 existing designs.
How is a redesign told apart from a re-release?: By the artwork itself. Every image is stored with a checksum of its bytes, so a design counts as redrawn only when those bytes differ from 13.1. A version number cannot tell you this — most releases ship the same drawings unchanged.
