Frequently asked questions
- What changed in Facebook 13.1?
- Compared with 13.0, Facebook 13.1 added 208 new emoji and redrew 33 existing designs.
- How is a redesign told apart from a re-release?
- By the artwork itself. Every image is stored with a checksum of its bytes, so a design counts as redrawn only when those bytes differ from 13.0. A version number cannot tell you this — most releases ship the same drawings unchanged.
