Frequently asked questions
- What changed in SoftBank 2014?
- Compared with 2010, SoftBank 2014 added 277 new emoji and redrew 449 existing designs.
- How is a redesign told apart from a re-release?
- By the artwork itself. Every image is stored with a checksum of its bytes, so a design counts as redrawn only when those bytes differ from 2010. A version number cannot tell you this — most releases ship the same drawings unchanged.
