Added in Facebook 16.0

Frequently asked questions

What changed in Facebook 16.0?

Compared with 15.0, Facebook 16.0 added 126 new emoji and redrew 126 existing designs.

How is a redesign told apart from a re-release?

By the artwork itself. Every image is stored with a checksum of its bytes, so a design counts as redrawn only when those bytes differ from 15.0. A version number cannot tell you this — most releases ship the same drawings unchanged.
